This webinar, hosted by ECO Canada and presented by NAIMA Canada, examined Net Zero Energy and Zero Carbon buildings, focusing on their definitions, construction requirements, and the carbon implications of building materials and operations.
Presenters Andy Cockburn and Gary Sharp discussed the technical elements required for achieving these standards, including super insulation, air tightness, and strategies to address both operational and embodied carbon.
The session highlighted the critical need for industry-wide training, certification, and knowledge sharing to enable builders, inspectors, and renovators to meet Canada’s future energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals.
