This session is designed for Indigenous associations, communities, Tribal Councils, and Nations to explore the benefits of adopting NECB 2020 in local infrastructure projects.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the code’s key provisions, how it impacts construction and renovation of small buildings, and its potential to achieve long-term energy savings, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance community resilience. The webinar also highlights strategies for integrating NECB 2020 into local policies and building practices to support sustainable development and energy independence.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we recognize all Nations who live, work and play on this land and honour and celebrate this territory.
