Speaker: Leslie King
Professor, Director, Centre for Environmental Education - Royal Roads University

Dr. Leslie King is a Professor at the School of Environment and Sustainability (RRU), dedicated to environmental education and empowering students to address local and global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss. Her research and teaching focus on integrated environmental sciences and planning, Indigenous environmental perspectives, environmental justice, governance, and the use of local and traditional ecological knowledge.

Adjunct Professor - Royal Roads University

Dr. Michael Lickers is a Mohawk educator from Six Nations of the Grand River and serves as Indigenous Scholar-in-Residence and Adjunct Professor at Royal Roads University, where his work focuses on Indigenous ways of knowing, youth leadership, land-based cultural education, and the development of leadership curricula for climate action and environmental sustainability.
