Objective: Learn how to set the tone, build trust, and create space for productive conversations.

  • Setting intention: support vs. control
  • Creating psychological safety (ask permission, clarify purpose)
  • Being fully present and listening without distraction
  • Coaching mindset shifts that build connection and belief

 

 

Module 4: Core Coaching Skills

Objective: Build communication skills that spark reflection, accountability, and buy-in.

  • Active listening: silence, reflection, emotional attunement
  • Asking powerful, forward-focused questions
  • Acknowledging effort and reinforcing growth
  • Framing feedback using simple models like SBI

  • Scenario 1: Coaching for performance without micromanaging
  • Scenario 2: Re-engaging a team member around career goals
